FT&F is printed every two months and each issue is dedicated to a specific theme related to forestry. Our most recent issues have focused on the O&C Land Transfer Proposal, Sustainability, and Prescribed Fire. Your suggestions for issue themes are always welcome.
FT&F is a free publication. 12,000 copies are directly mailed to subscribers, while another 10,000 are delivered to 400 locations in Linn, Lane, Marion & Benton counties in Oregon.
FT&F is published by Forests Today & Forever, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to forestry education. In addition to publishing the magazine, FT&F distributes natural resource education packets to 4th & 5th grade educators in the Willamette Valley. The packets contain information about a variety of natural resource education opportunities for the teachers and invites them to contact FT&F to help schedule tours, field trips and guest speakers for the classroom.
FT&F also participates in and promotes Talk About Trees, an in-class science presentation about forests sponsored by Oregon Women in Timber; and Oregon Forestry Education Program which hosts teacher workshops about forestry education curriculums like Project Learning Tree.
Here are a few of the things FT&F is working on:
FT&F is financially supported by primary and secondary manufacturers and suppliers to the forest products industry. If you would like more information about becoming an FT&F sponsor or making a contribution, or if you would like a copy of FT&F, please e-mail:
